Berlin composer Nils Frahm released Screws via Erased Tapes in 2012. The curious thing is a nine digits work because he broke his thumb but it didn’t mean to take a break. BEST OF 2012 MUSIC

The taxi driver has stolen my wonderful bag with my life in it. I had my laptop there, camera, mobile phone, ipod, lot of clothes, id's, personal stuff and quite some money. It was right after going home from the show we organized - gig of Why? and I was given a LP WHY? and got a bit too much drunk and woke up next day only with this LP in bed. My only words left were WHY????
Of course the taxi driver knew where i live, had all my id's and contacts, that's the thing he didnt give me back anything. The worst (if i could judge) was to loose laptop - i had all my photos, music, videos, ideas, documents etc there...mostly (90%) without any backups.. at least the year 2012. Year 2012 has been stolen from my life.
That makes it a bit more difficult to choose the best bits from it cos i dont have anything left...I have to use last.fm scrobbles and memory.

FORD & LOPATIN - Channel Pressure [2011]

I was thinking when GAMES will make something new. Their few tracks "that we can play" prooved that they can play, but i wanted something new of course. A bit later I've started to listen to FORD & LOPATIN and slowly forgot about Games. What was a surprise when i found out, that Games and Ford & Lopatin are the same people... THEY ARE PLAYING GAMES WITH US.

Ford & Lopatin is composed of two "best friends" from sixth grade (1994) Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) and Joel Ford of the group Tigercity. Their new album Channel Pressure is out June 7 through Mexican Summer.

2010 MUSIC SELECTION

Ok. 2010 finally ends! Hooray, i didn't like it from the very beginning. With music i was heading back to more electronic and synth roots and thanks to Ariel Pink i even felt sympathy for reverb and lo-fi sounds for a moment. But together with all that witch house shit and unpronouncable names of bands with almost no melody and stupid echo's without anything you could catch in it, i started to hate it and i can't understand why so many "musicians" do that if they like some other band they come with almost the same name of their band! how come they don't feel stupid about copying others so obviously? bands with crystal, gold, beach, broken, magic, white, black, cold, wild, bear, wolf, ghost, glass, teenage..when i see such a word in a band, i can't give a shit about them anymore..
So 2010 was about experimenting and pumping from synthetic roots.

The Apparat Organ Quartet is an Icelandic band founded in 1999 by Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hörður Bragason, Músikvatur and Úlfur Eldjárn. Here is their Myspace

. They have passion for out-moded musical machines and ancient communication technologies. You could definitely get that from the songs.. The album recording took very long to make, because they had to discover by themselves how to record an organ quartet: "We couldn't just go to the record-store and ask for an organ quartet album. We had to invent the genre." Polyfonia is their second one and it's quite danceable..

PRIZES - It's a Treasure(s) [2010]

Do you know Prizes? It's a guy from the UK (Liverpool or London?) who used to call himself Treasure and before that Treasures. His real name is Hari Ashurst (maybe). He started just last summer when he was waiting for the summer that didn't come. I'm glad that music scene in the UK is getting up again (from my point of view of course) and with so many names for just one artist my UK music folder seems even bigger :) I am kinda fed up with American monopoly cos its too far from me and i'm going to England for summer, so ...:)

I've been following this "new" music for some time and WITCH▲HAUS is blog dedicated purely to it. Witch house..I don't mean the house in the city of Salem in the USA, i mean those weirdos playing electronic music, giving themselves unreadable names and pretending beiing mysterious and hip. I like some of it..not everything. It's the natural process for me of beiing bored of classic indie and electronic music, but i don't think this would be a long music period for me..I still appreciate "quality" too, fresh idea itself doesn't last long. But whatever, i like it now, and people always say that present is what counts!



So let's try that blog, it gives you everything for free, it only wants to be appreciated ;)
